For the Gatsby Benchmark Careers Guidelines. 1-2 hour fully resourced careers lesson. Firstly, students will investigate what problem solving skills are, and try to solve a series of problems. They will then take stock of the skills they already have by examining the ways they have solved problems through their time at school and how these could be useful to a future potential employer if framed in an appropriate context. The lesson sees students complete a skills audit, team group activities, individual tasks, clip tasks and and is perfect for a PSHE / Citizenship careers unit. This resource pack includes a one hour long PowerPoint with accompanying worksheets, well differentiated activities, literacy focus tasks, clip tasks with three-way differentiated questions and information sheets. The lesson has been left editable and is filled with engaging, well differentiated and fun activities. It is useful for PSHE, Citizenship or Tutor Time. This detailed 21 page PSHE / RSE workbook has been created for the new PSHE / RSE and Health 2020 Statutory Guidance (specifically unhealthy relationships and personal safety) and focuses on forced marriage. It contains all of the information needed to learn about the topic in the first few pages, then the rest of the booklet is full of activities to complete. The booklet is differentiated and great for recording progress in PSHE. It’s easy to print and editable (as it comes in a portrait-version ready to print PowerPoint as well as a PDF version) - so you can always amend it for your students. This could be left as cover (as appropriate to the class and cover teacher) as there’s nothing explicit on the relationships side of things and all of the terminology is carefully explained.
